Ten Wolves Caught In Kankakee Township Recently

Wolf hunts proved a failure last fall in Kankakee township. The round-ups did not result in any harvest of coyotes, but recently there have been a number of captures of young 'wolves. Charles and John Nelson have led in the hunting and have secured seven, while Thos. J. Jones has caught three. No old wolves were killed but one was seen and it is quite certain there are a numiber and it is probable that when another hunt is organized, along next fall after the crops are harvested, the district they are presumed to occupy will be entirely surrounded and they will .be killed. They burrow into deep holes, however, and unless caught in the open are hard to locate.
