Mortgage of $260,000 Placed On Caldwell Estate.

The Benton Review. (Saturday the trustees and executors of the Caldwell estate presented a petition to Judge Berry asking permission to place a two year loan of $260,000 or. $3,299 acres of the estate for the purpose of paying debt. The petition was granted iby the court and the money will be secured thorugh the Lafayette Loan & Trust Company at 5% per cent interest with 1 per cent commission. Part of this sum will be used to pay the first and second installments of the $250,000 to the plaintiffs in the suit to set aside the will as per the famous compromise. $70,000 will be used in paying attorney fees, fees of experts who testified during the will trial, etc.
