Death Claims Two Brook Residents This Week.
Mrs. Sarah J. Fleming, who lives near Brook, passed away Tuesday after an illness of over a year. Death was due to acute bronchitis. Mrs. Fleming was 58 years ' old and the second wife of Wm. Fleming. The funeral services were -onducted by Rev Sitka at Brook on Thursday. Mrs. Florence A. Buswell died on Thursday after a long sickness, and death was not unexpected. The funeral will be held Sunday at the U. 8. church in Brooks
Miscellaneous Shower Given For Miss Bernice Rhoads Thursday. At the home of Miss. Hazel Reeve Thursday evening a miscellaneous shower was given for Miss Bernice Rhoads, who will soon be married to Mr. Asa Davisson. The young man lives in Marshall, 111. Miss Rhoads is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. S. Rhoads. The date of the wedding is not yet known. Misses Minnie and Elizabeth Hemphill, Ethel English and Tillie Malchow, all teachers in our public schools, were Lafayette visitors today. Joe Luers has sold his store at Parr to Peter G. Schnard, of Lafayette, who has taken possession. It is understood thaUMr. Luers took in exchange a farm in Tippecanoe county.
