Jean Hughes, of Monon, spent Sunday here. Roy Weston, of Streator, 111., lis visiting relatives here. Mrs. Dave Winslow’ is quite seriously ill with pneumonia. Miss Lola Moore, of Chicago, is visiting relatives here this week. Mrs. 1 Keiilter and granddaughter started for Handford, Cal., Tuesday. Warren Zellars and Tom Mallatt, of Virgie, were here on business last Tuesday. Mrs. Dunlap, of Gary, is visiting her sister, Mrs. Abell, for a few days. JJncle Harry Harrold has the stakes set on the Kesler lots for his new house. The Christian Endeavor party was held at the home of Mrs. Wm. Geary Saturday night. Mrs. Mann Tabor and Miss Iva Dunit, of Roselawn, visited friends here over Sunday. The young people of Fair Oaks will give a home talent pjay entitled “Mrs. Tubbs of Shanty Town,” Saturday, April 22nd. Mrs. May Howell, of LaCrosse, and Mrs. Blanche McCullough, of Pontiac, 111., are here on account of the serious illness of their mother. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Carpenter and Mr. and Mrs. Felix Erwin celebrated their .wedding anniversaries Sunday evening, by inviting several of the neighbors to spend the ‘evening. Refreshments were served.
