High School Notes.

The senior class held a meeting Tuesday to elect a new vice-president. Victoria Marsh was elected. The flrst period Tuesday was devoted to the taking of pictures of the two literary societies and the Freshman arc Sophomore classes. The Junior English classes have finished Macauley’s Essay on Johnson ind Goldsmith. The picture of the domestic science laboratory and the some economics class was.taken last Thursday. The noon lunches given by:the domestil scienre department will be discontinued after the spring vacation. The net receipts at the show last Tuesday was $19.90. This money goes to the aid of the Chaos. Another show will probably be given soon. The athletic editor of the Chaos is working overtime. The material is good and the athletics of the Chaos annual is exceptionally excellent. The Sophomore English class has finished Washington’s Farewell Address and will take up Washington’s Letters and Diary of Adventure. The Senior history classes have finished the study of the civil war. The physics class has finished the study of light and are now on the study of eelctricity. Mr. Kratli is intending to make the study of this subject as interesting and practical as possible. The laboratory is well supplied for a thorough study. The track team is working hard for the meet with Burnett’s Creek on April 14. The material is rather light. The mechanical tfrawing class has just finished surveying a road 1750 feet in length. The construction of the same will be estimated and plans drawn by each member of the class. On the road, which lies along the proposed traction line route, a bridge will be designed for the crossing of the Iroquois near the cemetery. After the plans are finished the contract will be let to the class which has been divided in partners of two. The aim, of this work is to make the drafting and estimates practical. Mr. Wass has charge of the class. ’ Baseball has been started again this spring. 7 The medieval history class has almost finished its text booK. The remaining weeks will be devoted to the study of the war, its causes and progress. The case.for the. senior-play, All a stake,” had its picture taken at the opera house Monday afternoon.
