Nocturnal Stranger Made Visit To Monticello Main Street.

Monticello Journal. Last night between 9 and 10 o’clock a strange varmint that was too big for a rat and too small for. a skunk, was seen by several parties scurrying around in the shadows on Washington street. After a number of guesses had. been made, and when the strange visitor got Tn the light'it was revealed as a lamming big muskrat. Whether it came up from the river to see what the town looked like or was-blown out of the river by the cyclone and just lit, will never be determined. i For when it discovered that its presence was attracting 1 attention it skidooed.
