Redlands/ a town in California, established the office of municipal flycatcher a year ago, and appointed a man to fill it. That official acts on a single observed sact —that flies instinctively fly upward and toward light. Under the cone he put a banana skin. He nailed the contrivance to a post on a street corner, and the flies did the rest In thb first month, from the business section of Redlands, the official flycatcher had emptied and burned 50 gallons of flies. That means not far from four million flies.
