Boston Shoe Retailer Reports Speech “With the Punch,” Made At Decatur Recently. Frank P. Meyer, of Cavanaugh & Meyer, of Danville, 111., former Rensselaer boy and one of the livest live wires any place, recently was the chief speaker at a banquet g’ven by shoe merchants ofTflinois at Decatur. A permanent association was organized at Decatur and Mr. Meyer was introduced by the chairman as the “man with a punch” to his speech and the “man whom-we hope to make the next state president” of the association. The “Shoe Retailer,” published, in Boston, gives a report of the meeting and quotes liberally from Mr. Meyer's speech. Mr. Meyer is not only an important factor in the shoe trade of Danville but a man whose judgment is sought and accepted by many of *he largest dealers of the state. He is for organization 'att along the line and has a happy and convincing mannerpf speech that is getting him to the front in a manner pleasing to his old friends in Rensselaer. ,
