Man With Deformed Babe Asks to Have It Killed.
Charles Cleveland, a laborer at Des Moines, lowa, appeared at the office of the city board of health in that city and asked that his 2-months-old daughter be killed. The baby has no regular mouth and the father says it can not even eat regular food. The babe also has convulsions and the mother is an invalid. The doctors said they could not have the child killed, but they sent the mother and baby to a hospital and may be able to make a mouth for the child by performing a delicate operation.
