From the Gallery.
One hot summer night, a heavy rain came up suddenly over New York, and the spectators at the ringside of a fight in Madison Square garden had to flee to avoid the downpour through an open skylight in the roof just above the roped square. Billy Gibson, matchmaker for the Garden, hustled around and got the skylight closed, and then tfie fight went on. It was a rotten fight. At the end of the second round a fellow in the first gallery lifted his voice and bawled: “Hey, Gib. Git that skylight open agin quick, and maybe we can drown these two bums!”
