Misses Grace ahd Hazel Wood went to McCoysburg yesterday to vis.t over Sunday with the family of W. S. Lowman. See that high school carnival Saturday. Smallpox continues to attack a new family occasionally. There is one case in the family of A. G. Lucas on Vine street. All kinds of fun at the carnival at the high school building Saturday evening. Roy Bye and wife arrived here this morning from Ramsey, Ind., and will reside on the Chas. Mathes’ farm near Foresman. Something new in high school entertainments, that jitney carnival Saturday evening. Elmer Wilcox and Fred King went to Mt. Ayr today to spend the day With Earl Bruner and wife and take in the sights of that town. Lots of fun at high school carnival Saturday evening.

Mr. and Mrs. Orville Burris returned to Stoutsburg today after spending several days here. Orville work ed on big dredge in the Kankakee river until it was forced to shut down on account of the frozen ground. Miss Ethel Clarke, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P. W. Clarke, is some better today from her severe case of inflammatory rheumatism. It will probably be some days, however, before she can leave her bed.
