William L. Nowels Underwent Operation For Removal of Toe

William L. Nowels Sunday underwent an operation for the removal of the great toe -on his right foot. Dr. Johnson performed the operation. Some three or four years ago a horse stepped on Mr. Nowels* foot and that member has been -causing him considerable trouble ever since. Last week it became more painful and infection set in and the amputation was decided upon. Mr. Nowels* son, Jesse Nowels and wife, who are moving to Roselawn from lowa, where they have lived for several years, are staying with him temporarily. He is suffering considerable pain.
