Raise of Telephone Rates Causes Indignation.
Greencastle, Ind., Feb. 2.—-Patrons of the Cloverdale Telephone Co., which is owned by Charles Tnibby, formerly of Ladoga, are quitting the service because of an increase in rate, effective Feb. 1. Two ’‘ndignatiop meetings were held, and more than 300 persons attended. The increase was granted the company by the public service commission. A petition for a rehearing will be filed at nee by the patrons. One-tlhard of the company’s 355 patrons have already qtfit the use of their telephones.
