Woman Who Tried Suicide Will Probably Recover.
Indications today are very favorable for the recovery of Mrs. JJewton Kupke, the woman who tried to kill herself Saturday morning by shooting herself through the left breast; Although the 32-caliber bullet went throug hher body and tore a hole almost as large as a silver dollar through her left lung she is getting along fine and her physician thinks she will recover unless complications set in. Dr. Hemphill, who was called on the case and who called Dr. Johnson into consultation, has turned the ■ease—overto Dr, J ohnson and has gone to Chicago for a surgical operation. Mrs. Kupke now' wants to get well and regrets her rash act. She realizes that she has been borrowing ?. lot of trouble and that she is not afflicted with the tuberculosis ando says that if she can get well she will not again attempt self-destruction.
