Engagement of Prof. E. S. Tillman Is Announced.

The engagement has been announced in Hammond of Miss Lydia Diadfiina... Comstock to Prof. Ernest Schaffer Tillman, also of Hammond, The bride is the daughter of Mr. arid Mrs. Fred S. Comstock and Prof. Tillman is the son of'Rev. and Mrs. J. W. Tillman, of North Manchester. He was for some time a teacher in the Rensselaer schools and married Miss Bessie King, whose tragic death occurred in Hammond three years ago when she was killed by a runaway team while trying to rescue a child that wak in danger. Mr. Tlilman is the botany teacher in the Hammond high school and is principal of the night school.
