The name of the Medaryville Advertiser has been changed to the Journal and the paper enlarged from a 5 to 6 column quarto. Under the management of the new publisher, Ralph M. Dunn, the paper shows considerable improvement. Presbyterian Church. The regular services will be held Sunday, the Sunday school at 9:30, morning sermon at 10:45 and evening service at 7 o’clock. The pastor, Dr. J. Budman Fleming, has so fat recovered from his illness as to be able to again fill' the pulpit at both morning and evening services. First Church of Christ.

The House of Commons by a vote of 403 to 105 has passed in England the much-talked of draft action, which means that conscription will be resorted to in order to get men into the army. The action was opposed by labor and threatens to cause serious internal trouble in that country.
