Walter Selby and wife, of west of town, went to Chicago this morning to visit her parents for several days. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Kenton, of Mitchell, S. Dak., came today to visit her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Hoffman. Edson Murray went to Lafayette today to see Eddie Rose, a student at Purdue. Ed will be home tomorrow for the holiday vacation. City Marshal Vern Robinson is now able to be about on crutches and is making very good recovery from his bad accident of several weeks ago. Misses Angela and Leona Kolhoff and Mrs. John Kolhoff went to Lafayette today and Miss Leona will submit to a nasal operation at St Elizabeth's hospital. He was a brother of the late James Overton and is a brother-in-law of John R. Gray. His wife, who was a sister of Mrs. Gray and of the late Calvin Coppess, of Medaryville, died three years ago. For some years Mr. Overton had resided at Walnut, lowa, but he sold his property there recently ♦and planned to spend the winter in Florida. Now he is undecided somewhat and may remain in Indiana or possibly return to lowa.
