In passing sentence Judge Joseph Combs had the followto ■Say:-’ ' ’ “You are a comparatively young man, and if you obey the rules of the reformatory you may be paroled in two years. Your record in prison and how you deport yourself while there, will determine the length of your term in a large degree. When the time for your parole arrives you should take a different course in life.” Judge Combs laid the downfall of Lawson to booze, bad company and gun toting. He also made a short talk to Vance Lawton and Oscar Lawson, the Witnesses held until the trial. “You boys are almost as guilty as the prisoner,” said the judge.
