Theo. Keiper returned to Lafayette today to have Dr. Keiper examine his eyes, the sight of which has been greatly improved since a cataract was removed about a month ago.
Mr. and Mrs. John B. Scheidler, of Miilaousen, Ind., came yesterday to spend Thanksgiving with their son, Father Scheidler at St. Joseph’s college.
Raymond and Amanda Gutmann, of Gutmann, Ohio, came today to spend the Thanksgiving holidays w ; th Edward Bushman at St. Joseph’s college.
The Monticello Journal has figured out a Thanksgiving dinner for five persons, including an 8-pound turkey and the fixins. The cost will be about $4. Now if it will figure cut where to get the four dollars we will all have a turkey dinner.
The new stove has been installed in the Van Rensselaer Club rooms and they are now nice, clean and attractive and the members are enjoying them very much.
O. M. Lyons, J. B. Foresman and John Sunderland, of Brook, went to Lafayette today to purchase some Hampshire hogs. Each has been raising that breed of hogs and with excellent results.
I now have some extra fine values in chrysanthemums, at 81 and 32 a docen. —J.H. Holden.
