Jimmie’s mother had promised to give him five cents every day provided he would keep out of mischief. The other day when the boy came home from school, she opened her purse and asked: ’Have you been a good boy today, Jimmie?” The youngster hesitated a moment and then said: “I’ll tell you what, mother. You give me two cents and ask no questions.”
