World's Rubber Production.

The world’s production of rubber is about 125,000 tons a year, according to La Nature, of which 40,000 tons come from South America, 60,000 tons from the East Indies, 15,000 tons from Africa, 5,000 tons from Central America and 5,000 tons from divers countries. That from the East Indies is all the product of plantations. The growth of this will be understood when it is re memberad that in 1908 they produced* only 2,200 tons. It is estimated thal. they will yield 200,000 tons in 1911* and 300,000 tons by 1920, which should! bring the price down considerably.
