LAWSON MURDER CASE SET FOR TRIAL
Slayer of August Seal lon Will Face Clinton County Judge On December 13th. V It has been announced by Judge David Combs, of Clinton county, that the trial of Charles Lawson, charged with the murder of August Scallon, night watchman of Delphi, would likely be called on December 13th. Howard T. Brockway, prosecutor of Carroll and White counties, was in Frankfort and asked Judge Combs to set the case. Although in venuing the case to Clinton county Prosecutor Brockway is superseded in the prosecution by Charles Guenther, prosecutor of Clinton county, he expects to follow the case and assist the sta*e in the trial. Judge Combs also issued an order that Oscar Lawson and Vance Loten, who are being held in tne Carroll county jail as material witnesses, be taken to Frankfort and placed in jail. Unless they can give bail they will be held in jail there.
