Evening Republican, Volume 19, Number 229, Rensselaer, Jasper County, 27 September 1915 — Yellow Bridal Vella. [ARTICLE]

Yellow Bridal Vella.

The modern bride has mneb to be thankful for, in that she does not have to follow the example of the ancient Greek and Roman maidens, who had to wear yellow bridal veils, according to a writer in Gas Logic. Brides are usually a little pale unless they resort to artificial coloring, and a yellow veil would not be so universally becoming and softening as the white halo is today. The yellow veil, is still worn by Persian brides. /-
