Mrs. H. W. Wood, Sr., and daughter, Mrs. Elmer Jacks and baby went to Crawfordsville yesterday and will spend a few days with Harley Bruce and William Rishling and families. Mrs. E. L. Bruce, who has been visiting her son, Harley, returned here Thursday afternoon. Fred Putts has eai ered the Penns: '- vania state normal school at Indiana, Pa., where he is playing fullback on the football team and by aiding in the coaching gets his board and tuition. Fred is one of the best football players ever turned out from the higu school, has the nerve, the weight, the speed and the endurance, and will doubtless help to give a good name to the ePnnsylvania football team.
