Horse Suffered Broken Leg As Result of Auto Accident.
A fine sorrel horse belonging to Rowe Laßue, of near Wheatfield, and one of a good team, was so badly injured when struck by an automobile last Sunday that it was necessary to kill the animal. The horse was being led across the grade north of Wheatfield when an automobile driven by a Crown Point ‘liveryman at top speed ran into it. Besides the driver, 1 Mr. and Mrs. Schedell, of Crown
<7 Point, were in the machine. The driver seemed to lose control of the machine, which after hitting the horse went into the ditch but the , occupants were unhurt. One of the horse’s legs was broken and it became necessary to kill it. Presumably the Crown Point liveryman will be liable for a full settlement with Mr. Laßue. Lacy Gwin, of Galveston, Tex., is here to visit his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Gwin. He is accompanied by his son, Jackson.
