NORTH NEWTON. Harvey Messman and family spent Monday at Joseph Lane’s. Mrs. James Lane and daughter called .on Mrs. Evert Grimes Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Romine spent Saturday evening at Evert Grimes’. An 11-pound girl arrived at the home of Evert Grimes and wife last Friday. School started at Bogus Center Monday with Miss Margaret Yeager as the teacher. Miss Odile Grimes returned home from Fountain county last Monday after a three weeks’ aisit there with her sister and other relatives and friends. NEWLAND. Harry Beebe went to Denver, Colo., Thursday. Rev. Fligigner arrived Thursday from Chicago. Geo. Matthews and family moved to Gary Wednesday. John Gallagher, Tony Dedloff and Geo. Copas arrived from Hammond Wednesday. Mrs. J. W. Crist very pleasantly entertained the children of the lower grades Friday afternoon at a taffy pull.
