Mrs. Daisy Critser made a trip to Chicago today. Orlen Grant’s condition improves slowly. He is now able to walk a little and to talk some. Miss Ola Umphress returned to Fair Oaks this morning after an over Sunday visit here. Mrs. James German and brother, T. J. Gleason, have returned from a visit in Indianapolis. Misses Grace and Fame Haas visited their brother, Austin and family in Lafayette over Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. I. F. Gans returned to South Bend today after visiting Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Harp. Mrs. W. L. Thomas has a class of music pupils at Monon and makes trips there every Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Sink went to Flora Saturday and will spent several days visiting relatives there. Mrs. Isiah Duffey and little daughter returned to Wabash Saturday after a visit of several days with her father, I. D. Walker and family.
Robert Platt, who is attending business college in Lafayette, spent Saturday and Sunday with home folks. He is very much pleased with his school. ■■ -- Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Schafer will start tomorrow on a trip to San Francisco, the exposition, and other places of interest, including a visit to relatives at different western points. Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Sawin returned to their home at Edinburg, Ind., today, after a visit of ten days with their son, A. W. Sawin and family. Ralph Sprague made a trip to .Shelby today. The Woman’s Missionary Society of the Presbyterian church will meet in the church on Tuesday afternoon at 2:30. A cordial invitation is extended to all of the ladies of the church to be present. _ Mr. and Mrs. Robert Graham, Mrs. Harley Lamson and Frank Babcock returned to their home near Liberty Center today, after an over-fiunday visit with Mr. and Mrs. Sam Scott. They drove over by auto. Mrs. H. C. Hibbard, who resides 2 miles west of Roselawn, suffered the fracture of one of her arms below the elbow Sunday. She was in the orchard and stumbled over a stick and in attempting to catch herself broke her arm. Dr. Rice attended her.
