Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Davis entertained relatives from Brook Sunday. Walter Steege. of Chicago, visited last week with Mr. and Mrs. Earl Osborn. Misses Opal and Pearl Hoile spent a few days alst week with relatives near Rensselaer. Miss Anna Meyers, of Chicago, came Saturday for a visit with her sister, Mrs. J. E. Meyers. If you don’t take this paper, why not? Al Ithe news of the Kankakee Valley for only SI.OO per year. School began Monday under the auspices of Mrs. H. B. Brown and MrRogers. This promiess to be a successful term as Mrs. Brown taught here last year and was well liked by all, and Mr. Rogers comes highly recommended as an experienced teacher from Royal Center. . . ; .
