The city schools opened today. The banks are closed today in observance of labor day. The Girls’ Sew Club wi’l meet with Jane Parkison Thursday afternoon. Miss Elsie Schmitt, of Chicago, is spending today with Mrs. E. W. Kanne. Junior Benjamin, of Chicago, came Saturday night to remain until tomorrow with his parents. Howard Jones, of Redkey, is visiting his uncle, F. D. Burchard, and assisting in the store. Miss Frances Jungdahl, of Chicago, who has been visiting Miss M?abel Cain, returned to her home-today, accompanied by Miss Cain.
