a noted distinction and a pleasant victory for Kankakee’s many enthusiasts. This year again the record will be kept. No other fair offers so much money, or holds out so many inducements to the owners of these premier drafts. And breeders appreciate this liberality. A more magnificent show than was on hand last year could scarcely be imagined. Illinois, the center of the Percheron breeding industry, yielded Its best productions to glorify the show at Kankakee. They were a glorious string of big, heavy, powerful, intelligent-looking beasts. These are exhibits that the visitor could well spend time at inspecting. Untiring energy is being expended to bring these matters to the attention of Percheron breeders. Every member of the American Percheron Society, of whom these are 6,000, will be written a personal letter by the Kankakee Fair management and urged to come. They have there an unusual opportunity to win big money, and the admiration of thousands of horse-lovers. Horse Show Enthusiasts.
Patrons of the Kankakee Fair are known to horsemen as enthusiasts for horses. The Fapcy Horse Show in the afternoons is watched by crowds of 16,000 and 20,000 people. The advantage is not only that spectators see better shows, but the owners of the horses, if they are on the market to sell, get an advertisement which it would bs impossible to get in any other manner. The visitors at Kankakee are residents of the prosperous eastern Illinois and western Indiana country, who love beautiful horses and buy the best.
