RENSSELAER BELONG TO POPULAR INDIANAPOLIS CLUB

The above is a picture of the Columbia Club building at Indianapolis, with the proposed ten story annex in the rear. The board of directors are planning to erect the annex just as soon as the membership will justify it. The membership has been increased nearly threefold during the' last few months and. it is expected that two or three thousand additional members will be added during the next few months. The present quarters will be inadequate for this large increase in membership and the members all over the state are looking forward with pleasure to the erection of the new quarters.. Every county in Indiana is jiow

represented on the club roster. A new roster is to be issued about the first of September. It is expected that there will be at least three thousand names on .this list. Jasper county and the 10th district are well represented on the roster of the club. Among the Jasper county members of the organization are: Louis H. Hamilton, D. Delos Dean, Emmet M. Laßue, George W. Healey, Judson H. Perkins, George W. Scott, J. N. Leatherman, Delos Thompson, Abraham Halleck, Harvey Wood, Jr., William H. Parkinson, Myrt B. Price, Ben D. McColly and Charles W. Hanley, of Rensselaer, and H. W. Marble, of Wheatfield. C. C. Jones, of Indianapolis, a mem-

ber of the auxiliary membership committee is in this locality this week in the interests of the club. Mr. Jones expects to secure a number of new members in this locality. Extensive plans are being made for a big “Burgoo Feast” and state republican rally to be held at the state fair grounds on Wednesday, Sept. 22, The meeting will be,held under the auspices of the Columbia Club, and will be open to republicans from every part of the state. It is expected that the occasion will be one of the really big political meetings of the year in Indiana. A large number of republicans from this county and other counties of the 10th district will attend this meeting.
