Brother of David Elder Died In Monticello.

Elmer Elder, aged 63, died at the home of his son, Van Elder, in Monticello Wednesday night shortly after 6 o’clock, following a nine month*’ illness from paralysis. Mr. Elder was born in Tippecanoe county, where he resided until he was 7 years of age. His family then moved to Rensselaer and there he lived until 18 years old. He then went to White county, residing both in Idaville and Bumettsville. In 1867 he was married to Alice Nichols, of Idaville. Eleven years ago they went to Monticello, where they have since resided. He was a member of the Methodist church at Idaville. Deceased is survived by his widow and seven children, Van Elder, Stewart and Gerald and Harold Elder, of Monticello, and Hazel Hamilton, of Delphi, and a brother, David Elder, of Rensselaer. The funeral will be conducted by Rev. Allison Hughes Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the house. Burial in the Idaville cemetery.—Monticello Journal. '
