ANNUAL AFTERNOON PICNIC AND FROLIC

Van Rensselaer Club Will Hold Event at Kanne Grove Thursday—Looks Like Fine Time. The committee on picnic arrangements for the Van Rensselaer Club appointed sub-committees Monday and started the ball rolling for the annual picnic and frolic of the club members and their ladies. It was decided to hold the picnic in Kanne’s Grove, just west of town. The gathering place is to be the club rooms and at 2 o’clock all are to be taken in autos to the picnic grounds. The transportation committee is composed of Edd J. Randle, John Moqge and Floyd Meyers. The entertainment committee is composed of W. I. Spitler, C. M. Sands and G. H. Healey. The committee to arrange for the eats is composed of Miss Nell Meyers, Mrs. Edd J. Randle and Mrs. Firman Thompson. They are to determine what each shall bring and then call them and make arrangements. The program will be made up today and probably published in Wednesday’s Republican. All members are urged to be present and Share in the amusements.
