HANGING GROVE.

The Ladies’ Aid Society will give an ice cream social art McCoysburg Saturday night, July 10th. H. F. Davisson, the Monon agent, is taking a lay-off for a few days. A relief agent came Saturday morning. Mr. and Mrs. George Parker went to Herscher, Ml., Saturday to celebrate the Fourth with his brother, Felix Parker and family. Mr. and Mrs. Van Wood and children visited J. R. Phillips and family Sunday, returning to their home in Rensselaer Monday morning. Miss Mayme Stephens entertained her Sunday School class Thursday evening. After the business meeting refreshments were served, after which the time was spent at games, music, etc. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Stewart went to Montmorenci Friday, where their son, Olin and family, live. They made the trip in their Ford, pulling a one-horse wagon behind and brought home a calf. It was a very peculiar sight, but the little Ford just rambled right along.
