John Bowman, Jr, spent the 4th in â– Kidman - Miss Elsie Connelly returned to Chicago Monday. I. B. Jones and Geo. Shaffer returned from Chicago Thursday. Many of the field laborers went home to celebrate the 4th. T. M. Callahan, Schuyler Irwin and Ray D. Thompson were in town Wednesday. " Rev. O. P. Jordan preached to a large and appreciative audience Wednesday evening. A. H. Wibon presented Prof. E. S. Tillman with a live rattlesnake the last visit he made to Hammond. The snake had six rattles and a button. A change' was made in the train service July Ist. A daily service except Sunday was installed in place of the tri-weeHy service. This daily schedule will be maintained until the connection is put in at McCoysburg and the new service put on that was contemplated being put on July Ist. The change has been delayed on account of inability to secure title to right-of-way on which to construct new tracks.
