Illinois Authorities Want Reward For Capture.

Prof. G. I. Christie, of Purdue, made a trip to Urbana Tuesday with a detective, in order to get his antemobile which was stolen Sunday and also bring back the -boys captured for the theft. They were somewhat surprised to find that the boys had not been taken to Urbana from Pekin, where they were captured. When the chief of police at Urbana called up the chief of police in Pekin the latter said that the boys would not be given over until the reward of SSO offered by Mr. Christie was paid. It was explained that the reward was for the recovery of the car and not the thieves. The authorities from Lafayette who drove back in Mr. Christie’s machine, which was dmnaged very little, were much disgusted with the action of the Pekin police chief.
