MANY INDICTED FOR ELECTION FRAUDS

128 Men, Including Thomas Taggart And Mayor Bell, of Indianapolis, Indicted by Grand Jury. Tuesday the Marion county grand jury indicted 128 men accused of election frauds. Some of the moat prominent men indicted were Thomas Taggart, democratic national committeeman; Joseph E. Bell, mayor of Indianapolis; Samuel V. Perrcutt, chief of police, and Robert W. Metzer, republican member of the board of public safety. These men hare surrendered to the police and have given bond in the sum of $6,000. The indictments will be served <m many prominent Hooeiers, about half of whom have already given themselves up to the sheriff. All the men—democrats, republicans and progressives—are named in a single indictment, which contains 48 counts and covers '176 typewritten pages. The main charge is conspiracy to commit felonies by corrupting the election by violation of the primary laws and the registration laiws by blackmail and bribery.
