Ford City Next; Ideal City Planned by Henry the Great.

Now comes the rumor that Henry Ford, automobile manufacturer, is the father of a new plan, which is that of a new ideal city to be called Ford City. The city is to be on the Rogue river near Detroit and will comprise 1,000 acres. At this place tractor engines for farm use will be made. The plant is expected to employ 20,000. Ford intends to buy up the surrounding land, build model workmen’s houses and sell them to the workers cheaply, thus shutting out real estate grafters. This will resemble Rrupp's model town, which now exists in Germany.
