Ice cream social June 12. The Ladies Aid Society will meet with Mrs. E. A. Reif Thursday afternoon. W. L. Palmer walked in from San Pierre Thursady. His father, W. Palmer, of Roselawn, is working here. Miss Phylis Kinsinger arrived from Pleasant Mount, la., Thursday to spend the summer with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Kinsinger. Frank Marmoll and Miss M. Knitter, of Chicago, arrived at Gifford Thursday to enjoy an extended visit with Mr. and Mrs. Leo Sharapata. J. M. Lesh, of Menomonie, Wis., arrived last week to visit his children, Mrs. Eli Arnold and John Lesh. Mr. Lesh resided here about 20 years ago. Otto Knoerzer came down from Hammond via auto Friday, accompanied by Mr. Schrum, who is interested in the pickle proposition. The lumber arrived for the factory building Thursday. A delightful social hour was enjoyed at the close of the business session of the Christian Workers Society Friday evening. ‘ Guessing games were indulged in. Pie ala mode and coffee were served. After voting Miss Jordan an ideal hostess, the guests departed at a late hour.
