SECOND MARR'AGE AS BAD AS FIRST

Lady Physician at Fowler Married Same Man Second Time and With Same Unhappy Result.

Benton County Review: Through her attorney, Chas. M. Snyder, Dr. Nellie Green, a prominent physician of Fowler, yesterday applied for a divorce from her husband, Dr. Samuel M. Green. „ The aged couple were united in marriage on April 12th last. This was their second marriage, having once before been husband and wife, but on account of domestic troubles they were divorced 25 years ago. After the divorce Dr. Samuel Green remarried and lived at Dixon, 111. His wife dying in February last year. During last winter he corresponded with his former wife here and asked permission to call and see her, which was granted and, on April 12th they were married. Dr. Samuel Green is 73 years of age and his wife a few years his junior. The complaint filed charges cruel and inhuman treatment, and that the defendant cursed and swore in the presence of the plaintiff and that he Called her vile and indecent names. He also falsely accused her of driking intoxicating liquors and on May 18 he threatened to and attempted to strike her with a large and heavy cone. The complaint charges that he refused to pay any money but demanded and required the plaintiff to support him, although amply able to furnish food and clothing for plaintiff and that he was faultfinding and disagreeable in manner so that plaintiff could not live with him hi peace and happiness. The plaintiff further says that after defendant threatened to strike her with the cane, he left home and left the state for some .point in California unknown to the plaintiff and she asks that a divorce be granted.
