Announcement was made Thursday by the Smithsonian Institution, that Dr. Charles G. Abbott, director of its astro-physical observatory, has just been awarded the Rumford medal by the American Academy of Arts and Sciences for his researdhes in solar radiation. * Mrs. Sheridan Logue and children went to Frankfort today to visit relatives for two weeks.
