Miss Mary Carey Thomas, president of Bryn Mawr college, will receive the bulk of ths >10,000.000 estate left by her friend, Miss Mary Elizabeth Garrett, daughter of the late John W. Garrett, president of the Baltimore • Ohio railroad. Miss Thomas is named executrix and residuary legatee under the will which has just been probated. Bryn Mawr receives no specific bequest, but the terms of the will indicate that Miss Thomas and Miss Garrett, who had been close friends for years, had an understanding that the college was to receive substantial benefits.
