At its recent annual meeting in Springfield the Illinois State Teachers’ association passed resolutions, of which this was one: “We favor a law requiring the erection of schoolhouses on plans provide tag for proper heating, lighting, ventilation, seating and other sanitary arrangements, as provided by the department of public instruction.” Improvement of the facilities, accommodations and surroundings of country schpois is a highly important development.
