Glee Club Concert at Western College For Girls.

The glee club concert on Saturday night, April 17, at Western College, Oxford, Ohio, was an artistic success. The girls did unusually nice work, showing the.result of their excellent training under Miss Kent, head of the voice department. They were particularly at ease in “A Hong Kong Romance” and the Western College song, singing both with much fire and feeling. • The cantata “Pan” was charming and very appropriate for this time of year when all the voices of nature are being heard. The solo parts were well chosen and the whole program was a replica of the high standard of work that is done at Western College. Miss Marjorie Loughridge, of Rensselaer, is one of the first sopranos of the glee club, and sang first soprano in the quartet, which gave three Swedish folk-songs by Saar.
