Fear Canal Will Not Pass Fleet.

Officials are by no means sure that the Atlantic fleet will be able to pass through the Panama canal early in July, as had been planned. Some parts of the canal are not deep enough to pass dreadnoughts in safety and there is no assurance that the necessary dredging will be completed by that time. Governor Goethals has declined to say that the fleet will go.
