Plows Save Village.
Maorefield, a small village in southern Indiana, was threatened with destruction by fire, which swept from the woods and fieldsf or a mile and a half, but farmers with plows succeeded in checking the flamep. Women and children aided in the fighting of the fire by carrying water and throwing it on the burning grass. The loss will amount to several thousand dollows.
