Briton Brewers Protest.
The allied brewers and the national union of brewery workers held a meeting Thursday and passed resolutions protesting against the proposal to introduce prohibition in England during the war. Complaint is made that thousands of men and women will be thrown out of work during the war, which will be a great hardship upon them. King George has offered tq abstain from all alcoholic drinks and to prevent the use of them by all, other members of the royal household.
