U. S. Requests Indemnity.

Indemnity for the full value of the American ship, the Wm. P. Frye, has been demanded by the U. S. government. The Wm. P. Frye was destroyed by the German cruiser Prinz Eitel Friedrich. The note has been sent to Ambassador Gerazd for presentation to the foreign office at Berlin. Pending its receipt the contents of the docun ent will not be made public.
