Carter of this dty has an old relic of bygone days in a Bible published in Windsor, Vt., in 1812, by Merrifield & Cochran at “The Sign of the Bible.” This book is one hundred and three years old. It was the property of a great uncle of Mr. Carter, who evidently had made an exhaustive study of the Bible as was evidenced by the copious marginal notes and references in old-fashioned handwriting. ;
