Bodyguard of Lincoln Dies.
Col. W. H. Crook, disbursing officer of the White House, who was President Lincoln’s bodyguard, and who has been intimately acquainted with every president since 1860, died Saturday at his home in Washington, D. S. He had been a White House employe fifty years. He had been ill with pneumonia more than a week.
